Expressions of interest now open for new seven-a-side competition for Juniors, Men and Women

Football Federation Victoria had announced an exciting new seven-a-side competition which is set to kick off in mid November.

FFV Summer Sevens for Juniors is for players aged 10-13 who want to keep playing football over the summer.

The Men’s Masters is split between two age groups, 30-40 and 40-50 years of age with the Women’s Masters competition being open to anyone aged 30 plus, if the preferred format for the Women’s is to be five-a-side than please be sure to add this in the comment section when sending through your expressions of interest via the link below.

The emphasis is on fun, fitness and the social benefits that only a team sport can deliver, Summer Sevens is the ideal chance for existing players to develop their skills over summer and the perfect opportunity to introduce new players to the game.

At this stage all matches will be played at Howard Glover Reserve.

All Summer Sevens matches will be on Friday evenings, providing an exciting start to the weekend and avoiding clashes with most other summer sports.  Most importantly, Summer Sevens won’t encroach on all important family time over the weekends.

Summer Sevens matches have been modified to maximise player enjoyment and to better fit the Friday night timeframe.  Matches will be shorter in length, will be played on a reduced-size pitch, and will feature some modified rules – you can read more about exactly how it will work by checking the FAQ’s attached, or by emailing competitions@footballfedvic.com.au

If you are interested in playing please contact

Hopefully there will be a team in the 30 to 40 age group and one in the over 40’s
